From late 2014 through 2017, Columnar acquired a thirteen-parcel assemblage of raw, un-entitled land. Purchased for $34.8 million, the groups included a family farm, a bankruptcy sale, a bank owned property, and a well-known citrus grower, and were located in the well-established Horizon West region of southwest Orange County near the theme parks. Columnar entitled the property for more than 3,500 residential units and 400,000 square feet of commercial development. The parcels were sold over a period of six years to national builders, totaling more than $150 million in sales. Columnar has retained the commercial and multi-family parcels for future development.
